Shashi Kapoor stills remains the heartthrob of young GIRLS

Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor had once made millions of hearts skip a beat with is acting and persona. He is known for his umpteen contribution to the Indian cinema. The charming and handsome actor of 70's  who retired almost two decades ago in the 90's has many awards and recognitions to his credit.

Though the 78 years-old is down with various age-related health issues, he still makes it a point to visit Mumbai's Prithvi theater which he had built in the loving memory of his father Late. Prithvi Raj Kapoor. The theater has been a home to many fresh talents in the field of acting and performing arts.

Shashi prefers to spend most of his leisure time at the Prithvi's cafeteria and humbly interacts with the newcomers and fans.

Recently, during his usual visit, Shashi was sitting at the theater with his care- taker while he was surrounded by a group of girls who wanted to eagerly get a picture with him. The girls greeted him by saying, "Even today you are so good looking and handsome". To which he smiled.

An onlooker also informed, "Though the actor had certain restrictions pertaining to his food habits, he kept insisting for having few bites of chocolates. While his caretaker denied fulfilling his demand, he acted like a small kid who wanted to desperately have chocolates. Finally, the actor was left happy after his caretaker had to give up in front of his repeated requests".

Shashi Kapoor had worked in nearly 160 films. His films like Waqt, Kanyadaan, Suhaag, Namak Halal, Roti Kapda aur Makaan, Shaan and Deewar had become a rage during the early years of Bollywood.

However, in spite of being away from the entertainment industry for such a long time, his fan following shows his undying legacy in Bollywood.
