SLB's Padmavati DISRUPTED due to non-payment issues!

After his 2015 blockbuster hit Bajirao Mastani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to treat the audience with another epic drama, 'Padmavati'. Since the time the movie was announced, it has been making waves among the fans and the followers who are waiting eagerly to get a glimpse.

Sanjay whose films are known for grand and lavish sets was recently reported to have built a huge set at Bandra's Mehboob studio. Reports also had it that the makers have spent almost 10 crore for a fight scene in the film. Well, it's pretty evident that the director is working on every minute detail to get his perfect shot.

However, as per fresh reports in media, Padmavati has now landed in a new trouble. The film's shooting has been halted as the makers haven't paid the wages of the laborers. A group of workers simply walked off the set due to non payment of the wages.

A report in a popular tabloid quoted Gangeshwar Shrivastav (President of Allied Mazdoor Unioun) stating that, "Around 22 lightmen working on the film hadn't received wages for the one and a half month. Even conveyance dues of Rs. 100 per day wasn't given to them". (sic)

The shoot remained halted for almost an hour. It was only after SLB asked the worker's chairman, Ram Kadam to intervene and get things back in shape. Mr. Kadam told the publication that, "I am against stalling work, but the workers should be given their due. I spoke to Bhansali, who clarified there was a miscommunication and promised to clear all the payment". (sic)

Recently, Viacom 18 Motion pictures had come on board with Bhansali productions to co-produce the film.

While the film stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor; Aditi Rao Hydari is a new addition to the film's cast.
