#Padmavti Gossip: Ranveer strikes back,Deepika WON'T take the LEAD now

It was earlier reported that Deepika Padukone will be kick starting the shooting of magnum opus 'Padmavati'. But, looks like Ranveer Singh, as always wanted to take the lead! He has now taken the baton from his lady love.

So now, instead of Dippy, RS will do the 'shubh arambh'.

Ranveer plays Allauddin Khilji in the film and on November 1, he will get the project rolling for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film.

Says a source, "Sanjay is fond of both Deepika and Ranveer. He has worked with both of them in two films. It doesn't matter which actor starts the film. These things don't come into play when he begins shooting. He is very sure of what he wants his characters to be, and how he will shoot them."
