Shah Rukh Khan WON'T star opposite Mahira Khan anymore!

The growing tension between India and Pakistan has affected the Hindi film industry as well and the first one to face the brunt is none other than, Mahira Khan!

The Pakistani actress who was roped in opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 'Raees' has been removed from the film.

As per reports in a popular daily, owing to the sour relations between the two Nations, the makers decided to chop off Mahira from the film.

While there is no official confirmation on the same, a close source has revealed to the daily, "It was a very painful decision for producer Ritesh Sidhwani to take. The pressure to replace her had been building up for months. It reached a crescendo after the Uri attacks. It came to a point where it became impossible to shoot with any Pakistani. People suggested all kinds of solutions to the impasse, including shooting in Dubai. But it didn't seem viable. Now, Mahira has unfortunately been relieved of her duties." (sic)

Now a Bollywood actress will be cast opposite SRK and the hunt for her has already begun. "The Raees team needs to find a new girl in two weeks' time," added the source.

We tried contacting producer Ritesh Sidhwani but he remained unavailable for comments!
