Ileana D'cruz shares, she had a mental illness!

Every soul has a story beneath itself which remains unknown to the world. Same is in the case of our B-town celebs. Recently actress Deepika Padukone had revealed that she suffered from depression and now actress Ileana D'cruz has opened up about her illness.

In an interview to a daily portal, the actress revealed that she suffered from a severe illness called Body Dysmorphic Disorder, is a mental disorder characterized by an obsessive preoccupation that some aspect of one's own appearance is severely flawed and warrants exceptional measures to hide or fix it; and also anxiety and depression.

The actress said, "As far as work is concerned thankfully I'm not super attached emotionally. So I can let go of things. The most difficult struggle for me has been personally, because I've been dealing with a lot of issues. There was a time I didn't want to get out of the house - I used to get really emotional, I used to sit in a corner and just cry for hours. And I didn't even want to go out to get groceries, that's how bad it was. It can be really consuming if you let it get there. The pretty shitty thing about it is that only you can help yourself, but it helps having a great support system around you". [sic]

Though the actress has been suffering from such health conditions its really good to see that she has never let her health issues put her down in her professional life.

Ileana was last seen in 'Rustom' with Akshay Kumar and Esha Gupta.
