As the famous saying goes, "Once burnt, lesson learnt";
Shah Rukh Khan too has learnt some lessons for life following which he is trying his best to avoid clashing with other big banner films.
Recently, he informed the media that his '
Raees' won't be clashing with
Hrithik Roshan's '
Kaabil'. But, now the story seems to have changed.
A close source has revealed to the tabloid,
"Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik have worked with each other and share a warm rapport. The latter also shares a good understanding with Raees producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. So industrywallahas were hoping that they would come up with a solution to avoid a box office collusion. However, both parties are determined to release their respective films around the republic day weekend and the problem is far from resolved."'
Raees' was earlier scheduled to release on Eid along with Salman Khan's 'Sultan' but to avoid the clash with the Bhaijaan, it was pushed forward to January 2017. But, postponing it to 2017 has given rise to another clash with
Hrithik Roshan's '
Kaabil' and
Ajay Devgn's 'Baadshaho'.
While, Ajay's film was shifted to May 12 it was expected that even Hrithik's film will also move to another date and SRK felt that it was possible on their part to do so since '
Kaabil' went on floor three months ago.
"Rakesh (Roshan)ji, Hrithik, Farhan and Ritesh are going to meet soon to figure out a way that we don't clash," SRK said during a press meet.
But, now it seems that's not the case. Another source told the tabloid,
"Kaabil is moving towards completion at a fast pace. They have resumed shoot and it will wrap up in a month or two. So, the film will be ready for release by January. On the other hand, Shah Rukh has waited too long for Raees to enter theatres and doesn't want any more delay. Neither of them wants to budge, so the clash has not been averted yet." (sic)
Kaabil director Sanjay Gupta told the tabloid,
"As far as I know, we are releasing on the date we announced a long time ago and that's January 26th, 2017." (sic)
Well, only time will tell if the Greek God will avert the clash or stand firm against King Khan.
