New RIVALS in town: Priyanka Chopra - Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra recreated the meaning of friendship during their "Bajirao- Mastani" days when the two actresses were insepearble from each other.

But, as the saying goes "two heroines can't be friends"; even Deepika and PC's friendship couldn't stand the test of time and seems to have rotten to dust. Yes, you heard that right!

If reports in a leading daily are to be believed, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone tried their best to avoid bumping into each other at a recent award show that was held in Spain.

Previously, they were supposed to perform together but due to their indifferences, the performance was scrapped and they performed individually. When PC was quizzed about it she said that their time schedules didn't match following which they had to drop the idea.

Now, we hear that these beauties didn't even exchange pleasantries at the gala event.

An actor who is a mutual friend of both the divas who had seen their bonding, revealed to the leading daily, "It was very obvious to everyone that Priyanka and Deepika were avoiding one another. I had heard they were thick as thieves on Bhansali's set. So what happened?" (sic)

While many speculations were making rounds about the reason of their rivalry, the most talked about states that it was Dippy's decision to move West that led to the tussle.

Another insider has revealed, "Clearly, Priyanka thought she'd be the Bollywood female face in Holywood after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But then Deepika sneaked into the American Dream with XXX. Now their respective films- Priyanka's Baywatch and Deepika's XXX- are expected to be out at around the same time. And since there is just so much space in Hollywood for a Bollywood beauty to fit in, the two are naturally vying for similar parts in the US." (sic)

Well, only time will tell how intense this race to conquer the world turns out to be. As both Deepika and Priyanka are putting in everything to create their space in the west. Following which they are also cutting down on their work in Mumbai.

We hope that things get sorted soon between them as their friendship was one of the ideal ones from the B-town.
