As per reports, when Saif's sister Soha Ali Khan was contacted she confirmed the news and added, "Bhai hurt his thumb while shooting, but timely medical attention was provided. His recovery process has already begun. Thank you all for your concerns and prayers." (sic)

Further, when the media tried to contact one of the doctors who are treating him, plastic surgeon Dr Quazi Ahmad, he refrained from revealing any details about the treatment.
