It was SUICIDE: CBI on Jiah Khan's death!

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) declared that Bollywood actress Jiah Khan's death was a case of 'suicide'. CBI reported to the Bombay High Court and said that the judgment was passed on the basis of oral, documentary and cyber forensic evidences!

This was the response of CBI to a petition filed by Jiah's mother Rabia Khan, who requested and got Special Investigation Team (SIT) on board, to probe the case. She even asked the CBI to approach the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for help.

Jiah Khan was found hanging at her apartment in Juhu on June 3rd, 2013. The CBI stated that there's no need to re-investigate the case.

It has now said that her boyfriend-actor Sooraj Pancholi, had deleted the text messages exchanged between them. According to a report in a leading daily, in a charge sheet filed in December last year, CBI stated that Sooraj deleted text messages as his father-actor Aditya Pancholi told him to do so.

CBI also discarded the 'break-up bouquet' theory made by the Juhu Police stating that the greeting card with the bouquet wished Jiah 'Best of Luck'. It was to congratulate Jiah for signing two movies and an item song.

About the letter found at her apartment, the CBI said that she was at her flat for more than 35 minutes before her death, and that was sufficient time to write the letter; the two conversations Jiah had with Sooraj (of durations 400 seconds, and 11 seconds) still left her plenty of time to write the letter, the agency added.

Current scenario:

The HC adjourned the case till July 6th on request made by Rabia's lawyers, as she and her legal team require time to analyze the reply given by the CBI and also pointed out that Rabia had to rush to the UK to attend to one of her ailing daughters.
