It's OFFICIALLY OVER between Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapoor's long legal battle comes to an end. The couple who were fighting the legal battle for separation from each other has been granted a divorce by a family court in Mumbai on Monday.

Confirming the news, Karisma's lawyer Kranti Sathe told IANS: "Today (Monday), the court granted them the divorce after verifying everything that was written."

When asked about the custody of their two children, daughter Samaira and son Kiaan, Sathe said that it went to Karisma. However, their father Sunjay will have access to them for two weekends during vacations.

When IANS contacted Karisma's father and veteran actor Randhir Kapoor he refrained from adding or saying anything about the matter. "I don't want to comment on this. The matter is closed where we are concerned," reverted Randhir.

Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapoor tied the knot in 2003. After 11 years of marriage and having two beautiful kids, the couple filed for a divorce in 2014. The court had given them ample of time to settle the matter but even after trying hard they couldn't get back together.

During their court proceedings, many secrets and bitter truths had surfaced which stated that Karisma was physically and verbally abused by her mother-in-law and husband.
