After getting a breather with the resurrection of popular character Jon Snow in "Game of Thrones", Indian fans were in for a shock with the brutal death of gentle giant Hodor. The tragedy of the character played by Kristian Nairn left even Bollywood actors like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan devastated.

The fifth episode of the ongoing sixth season of the medieval fantasy TV show, according to telegraph.co.uk, unraveled the mystery of the gentle giant's impaired conversational skills. The character just had one dialogue in the entire show and that was to say "Hodor".

The climax of episode explained the giant's past and also why he is only able to say his name, which is actually a command - "Hold the door".
