Mika Singh surely has a 'big and kind heart', here's the proof!

Bollywood has always been on its feet when it comes to doing any act of generosity. Be it spreading the word or be it donating for the cause, B-town stars never back off and shell off whole heartedly.

At a recent event, the audience witnessed a similar generous side of Mika Singh. The ace singer has announced that he will be bearing all the expenses for Sarbjit's daughter.

When contacted Mika he said, "I wish all the brothers had a sister like her. We need to make efforts to save the girl child and have another Dalbir Kaur."

He also shared with us how his elder brother and his family had supported Dalbir in her fight to bring her brother Sarbjit back.

"My elder brother Shamsher Mehendi, he supported Dalbir Kaur a lot. He also went to Jantar Mantar to protest against it. At that time I used to feel that though we are supporting our brother but hope nothing goes wrong in it because it is a very big thing to get a man back to India who is imprisoned in Pakistan. It's a big task. Also my elder Shamsher bhai and Dalbir had no political support. But, we were always at their side because they were doing a very good deed."

He further said that neither he nor any of his family members ever spoke about how they supported them. However, it was Dalbir herself who revealed to the world about the support she got from the Mehndi family.

"When Dalbir came to Sa Re Ga Ma, she herself told the world how Shamsher bhai and I (Mika) had supported her. We never openly spoke about it because people would have then thought that it's a publicity stunt and all."

On a concluding note he said, "It's a good thing that a film is being made on Sarbjit's life. We all got very emotional at that moment and that's when I told her that we can never take her brother's place but we are also like her brother. Owing to it I said that I will take the responsibility of her younger daughter. And also I will bear all the expenses of her wedding."

However, this is not the first time when Mika Singh or his family members have contributed their share for the betterment of the society. In the past as well, Mehndi family have always helped the needy and done abundant charities.

Apart from that, Mika's elder brother Daler has set up Daler Mehndi Food for Life Society where a 24-hour kitchen provides food to the destitute and the underprivileged. He has also constructed a Gurudwara Dukh Bhanjani Sahib where every morning people from all castes and religions join together and offer service in the name of God. Also, he is the only known Indian artist to be invited by the President of Pakistan as a state guest.

Indeed, we need many more people like Mika and the Mehndi family to contribute their bit to the welfare of the society.
