Nushrat Bharucha - Talent behind the beauty achieves Phalke glory!

At first glance, one can't help but be charmed by the effervescent beauty of Nushrat Bharucha aka 'BABU' & 'CHIKU' from the hugely popular Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise. But she is much more than just a beautiful face. Testimony to which is the fact that she has been awarded with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her performance in PKP2 of the franchise, both parts of which were a surprising success at the box office.

She has won the award for the Best Actor in a Comic Role category and deserving so. Her act of 'CHIKU' in 'Pyaar Ka Punchnana 2' left the audience in splits getting her much critical acclaim and also other awards in the same category. On being asked the obvious 'how do you feel?' question, the actress humbly states "I have won two other awards for this role, but it cannot get better than this one. I am deeply honoured and would like to express my gratitude to the jury for recognizing my efforts. Such appreciation really fuels my motivation."  

 We certainly hope that Nushrat stays motivated and keeps us entertained with her infectious combination of beauty and acting talent.
