Shocking: International media called Deepika "Leggy Brunette"

Deepika Padukone is giving in her best to spread her charm globally. The actress will be soon making her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.

At such a time when the Bollywood diva is getting global recognition, the International media on the other hand has failed to recognise her.

Recently, Deepika had been on a dinner date with her close friend and tennis star Novak Djokovic at a high end pub in Los Angeles. This news made headlines in all the media there and got quite a good amount of coverage in all the papers too.

Though there was nothing defaming in the articles but they failed to recognize Deepika and referred to her as "Leggy Brunette", "Female companion", etc.

Apart from failing to recognize her they also commented on Deepika's choice of clothes. While giving a brief of the clothes that Dips and Djokovic were wearing, the papers there wrote: "While he [Djokovic] kept it casual, she appeared to have made more of an effort in sartorial terms, favouring a timeless monochrome colour theme." [sic]

Adding to it they wrote: "Novak flashed the paps a cheeky grin before joining his impeccably turned-out friend in the back seat of a getaway car... The leggy brunette slipped her towering figure into a flirty frock." [sic]

Looking at this, Deepika's fans got furious and a war broke out on social media. Her Indian fans were quick to let the paper know that the woman they called "the leggy brunette" was Bollywood's Superstar Deepika Padukone.

Within no time, Deepika started trending at the top position on twitter. Some were blaming the International media for poor general knowledge and the rest held her PR machinery responsible for not promoting her well globally.
