With plaudits galore for "Aligarh", actor Rajkummar Rao has thanked his fans for the love, and his director Hansal Mehta for being a "rockstar".

"Thank you so much guys for all the love and appreciation.It's very inspiring. Gratitude. 'Aligarh' Hansal Mehta, you are our rockstar sir," Rajkummar tweeted.

"Aligarh" features Manoj Bajpayee in the pivotal role of a homosexual professor who loses his job due to his sexual orientation.
