Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says it has been 47 years since he gave his first film audition for Khwaja Ahmad Abbas directorial "Saat Hindustani", his debut movie.

"On the 15th of February 1969 I walked into the office of Khwaja Ahmed Abbas for an audition for a role in a film he was making 'Saat Hindustani'. It was my first film. 47 years have gone by today," the 73-year-old posted on his blog early Tuesday.

The "Wazir" actor also shared that his film "Agneepath" in which he essayed the legendary role of Vijay Deenanath Chavan along with actors Mithun Chakraborty, Madhavi, Neelam Kothari, Rohini Hattangadi and Danny Denzongpa starring in the film, clocked 26 years since on Monday.

"Agneepath" was a Yash Johar directorial whose title was taken from a poem which was penned by Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Big B's father. The poem was recited at the beginning of the movie.
