Bollwood's reigning Khans, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan keep making headlines for their controversies and court cases. The actors have always been a matter of discussion due to their huge fan following and media coverage. Earlier, we had reported about duo being blamed for hurting Hindu sentiments in a promotional video of popular TV show Bigg Boss.

In the shoot the actors were shown wearing shoes inside a Kali temple and reuniting after a long time. Well, this wasn't perceived well by the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha and they filed a case against duo at a court in Meerut.

According to a report in a leading daily, the SHO of Roop Nagar Police station has submitted the Action Taken Report (ATR) filed in the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) VK Gautam.

It stated that, promotional event was not shot to disturb sanctity of a religious place or to hurt religious sentiments. In view of the facts and report, no cognizable offence is made out. The promo was not shot to disturb the sanctity of a religious place or disturb or hurt the religious sentiments of any individual, group, community or section of the society. However, the undersigned is ready to abide by the order passed by the court". [sic]

The police also mentioned that a similar complaint was filed in Meerut court which was dismissed therein.

A reply from the channel producer of Viacom 18 was also cited in the report which clarified that, "As they (actors) had met after a long time, the director thought of an idea showing them reuniting on the sets of 'Kali Mandir' in a similar manner as they had reunited in the movie Karan Arjun in Kali temple after their re-birth in the film. This idea was not motivated by any intention of hurting any religious sentiments of any religious group and shooting of the promo was done in a studio and the subject incident never took place," police said, citing the channel's reply". However, the ACMM was on a leave due to which the case was forwarded on a further date by the link magistrate Joginder Singh.

The case is still impending in the court and will be heard on 2nd March, 2016.
