Mumbai, Sep 22 (IANS) Jagmohan Mundra's latest movie 'Shoot On Sight' has been banned in Pakistan, according a press release issued by Mundra's publicity department Monday evening.

The Pakistan's Censor Board has taken objection to the Pakistani actor Mokaal Zulfikar, who plays the role of Zaheer, being portrayed as a terrorist from that country, said the release.

'I am amused. In a dialogue between Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri, it is revealed that the character Zaheer is from Pakistan,' the release quotes Mundra as having said.

He said that though Pakistani actors play fundamentalists in Shoaib Mansoor's 'Khuda Kay Liye', the censors cleared the movie.

'Shoot On Sight' is a political thriller based on the July 7, 2005 London bombings.

It is about the turmoil Taariq Ali, a Muslim police officer in the Scotland Yard, goes through when he is tasked to investigate the police shooting of a suspected Muslim terrorist in London, as he is distrusted by his superiors as well as by the fellow Muslims.

Shot entirely in London, the movie has, besides Mikaal Zulfikar, Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Gulshan Grover, Laila Rouass and Greta Scacchi also in the cast.
