Fatima Sana Shaikh gets injured shooting for Dangal

Time seems to be unfavorable for director Nitesh Tiwari, as he shoots for his upcoming film Dangal. Earlier we reported about Aamir Khan who got injured while shooting for an action scene in the film.

The actor is currently on complete rest for a week and would resume thereafter. However, we have yet another bad news from the sets of Dangal.

According to a report in a daily portal, Aamir's co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh has injured herself. The actress who's essaying the role of Geeta Phoghat in the film fractured her ankle on the sets in Delhi on Sunday. The actress has been now advised to take 10 days rest before resuming with her shoot.

A physiotherapist had been called who prescribed the medication and advised the treatment further.

A source was quoted saying in the report, "Fatima was rehearsing a wrestling scene and she misjudged the timing. An orthopedic was immediately called and he detected a fracture. He has advised Fatima complete rest for the next two weeks." [sic]

Also, a spokesperson from the film was quoted saying, "A specialist was called to the sets immediately who instructed Fatima to rest for the next 10 days. She will only be rehearsing and shooting for scenes which do not involve any wrestling, to avoid aggravating the injury." [sic]

We wish them both a speedy recovery!
