Sonam Kapoor in British band Coldplay's music video!

British rock-band Coldplay's official 'Hymn For The Weekend' video is here! Sonam Kapoor and Beyonce feature in the video and the result is mesmerizing. The video is shot around the locales of India and intends to capture a picture of vibrant, carefree and mystic India.

It's not all elephants and sanyasis! it's a glimpse of neighbourhoods you may recognize. Coldplay's Chris Martin is shown travelling by our very own Kaali Peelis, going to old school cinemas and joining in the festival of colours.

Sonam Kapoor shot with Coldplay for the video in October last year and though her appearance is short, it is powerful. She tweeted her excitement!

Coming to the music video, here is a glimpse of what it has to offer:

*There are temples. Lots of colours--mostly pink and saffron.

*Holi.

*More holi.

*Kathputlis (Puppets).

*A movie called 'Rani' starring Beyonce as a Bollywood actress!

*Taxis--but not our regular Kaali Peelis- these are ones with floral designs all over them.

*Saadhus & Yogis.

*The sky is always filled with something that's not smoke--birds, colours or crackers.

*A white man (Chris Martin) watching a Bollywood film sitting in an old movie theatre!

*And, last but not the least, our very own Sonam Kapoor in her traditional best!

The video offers aesthetic pleasure and it just goes on to show that india has the best of both worlds - progress, as well as its connection to its tradition which remains preserved and unforgotten in many parts of the country!

As for Sonam Kapoor, she joins the leagues of Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra with this hot-shot Coldplay feature, which she has the ticket to brag about for a long time to come, because hello, it's COLDPLAY!!
