Salman helps Katrina!

Needless to say, the fact about Salman Khan being protective when it comes to Katrina Kaif is not unknown! The actor who promoted Katrina in her initial days of her career in the industry was also dating the gorgeous lady! But unfortunately, the two couldn't seem to make it work and called it quits!

Katrina then went on to date Ranbir Kapoor and after 6 years of togetherness the couple broke up some days back! Katrina, however, who has been busy with her promotions for Fitoor was present at the grand finale episode of Bigg Boss 9, where Salman was the host.

There didn't seem to be any awkwardness between the ex-flames, and what's more, he even came to Katrina's rescue by shielding her from the uncomfortable questions of the media regarding her break-up with Ranbir!

"Salman Khan gave strict instructions that there should be no media on the sets when Katrina arrived at around noon to participate in the finale. The media was asked to come on the sets not before 6.30pm. By then, Katrina had finished her shooting and was gone. Not only that, he personally came out and escorted her into his personal chalet when she arrived and saw her back right to her seat in her car when she left," a source from the Bigg Boss sets was quoted saying in a leading daily. [sic]

He further added, "It was so evident that Salman was going out of his way to make Katrina feel at home. He was all there for her, if you know what i mean - protective, concerned and affectionate. It was touching." [sic]
