Javed Akhtar's gift to team Wazir

Renowned writer, Javed Akhtar treated the Wazir Team with an impromptu creation i.e. a poem soon after watching the rushes of the film.

Wazir, an action drama intrigued the writer so much so that he quickly penned down a poem around the film's plot. The poem, an elaboration on the film's title 'Wazir' and its complexities is a beautiful composition aptly describing the mystery around the titular character Wazir!

Team Wazir was extremely overwhelmed by Javed Akhtar's sweet gesture. They also requested the ace writer to recite the poem during the film's trailer launch event, to which Javed Akhtar kindly obliged.

Few verses from the poem:

Ye khel kya hai?

Mere mukhalif ne chal chal di hai, Aur ab meri chal ke intejaar mai hai

Magar mai kab se, safed khano, si ya khano mai rakhe, kale, safed mohro ko dekhta hu,

Mai sochta hu, ye mohre kya hai,

Agar mai samjhu ki ye jo mohre hai sirph lakdike hai khilone,

Toh jeet  nakya hai, haarna kya hai

Na ye zaroori na vo ahem hai...

Agar khushi nahai jeetneki, na haarneka hi koi gum hai, toh khel kya hai

Mai sochta hu jo khel na hai, toh apne dil mai yakeen karlu,

Ye mohre sach much ke badsah ho wazir, sach much ke hai pyaade,

Aur inke aage hai dushmano ki vo fauj,

Rakhti hai jo ki mujhko tabah karneke saare mansoobe, sab irade,

Magar mai aisa jo maan bhi lu, toh sochta hu ye khel kab hai,

Ye jang hai, jisko jeetna hai,

Ye jang hai, jisme sab hai jaayaz,

Koi ye kehta hai jaise mujhse ye jang bhi aur khel bhi hai,

Ye jang hai par khiladiyo ki,

Ye khel hai jang kidarah ka,

Mai sochta hu, ye khel hai isme is tarah ka usool kyon hai,

Ki koi mohra reh ke jaaye,

Magar jo hai baadshah, us par kabhi koi aanch bhi na aaye,

Wazir hi ko hai bas ijaazad ki jis taraf bhi vo caahe jaaye,

Mai sochta hu, jo khel hai isme is tarah ka usool kyon hai,

Pyaada jo apne ghar se nikle, palat ke waapas na jane paaye,

Mai sochta hu, agar ye hi hai usool, toh phir vasool kya hai,

Agar ye hi hai ye khel, toh phir ye khel kya hai,

Mai in sawaalo se jaane kab se ulajh raha hu,

Mere mukhaalif ne chaal chal di hai,

Aur ab meri chaal ke intejaar mai hai.
