From Small Towns to Big Names in Bollywood

Mumbai is known as the city of dreams and especially Bollywood is filled with inspirational stories. From Shahrukh Khan to the recently acclaimed star Nawazuddin Siddiqui Bollywood beholds many success stories.

In tandem with the same is a list of five actors from the young brigade who have made it big in the industry.

Priyanka Chopra

Born in Jamshedpur and brought up in Bareilly, Priyanka kick started her journey of fame by winning the Miss World. This B-town diva of glamour wrapped in simplicity is a small town girl by heart. From acting to singing, the actress has earned recognition not just in Bollywood but also internationally.

Anushka Sharma

Born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh Anushka wrote her success story with her first film itself . Anushka made her debut in Rab ne Bana di Jodi opposite Shahrukh Khan and since then has been doing interesting films one after the other.

Kartik Aaryan

Kartik has made inroads into the industry on his own accord. He hails from Gwalior and is the youngest lad who seems to have made it big in the industry with his performance in Pyaar ka Punchnama 2 this year. The young actor has had a tough journey but his performance has got lauded and seems to be the new chocolate boy in the industry.

Ayushman Khurrana

He was born and bought up in Chandigarh before he moved to Delhi to persue his career. Ayushman gave a power packed performance in his debut film Vicky Donor and has managed to create his own niche in the industry ever since.

Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant who is from Patna started off his journey from the small screen as a lead actor in a daily soap. After a few years today, the actor is one of the renowned stars of silver screen. The 'Kai Po Che' star Sushant, is currently working on India ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's biopic.
