Dilip Kumar to be honored with Padma Vibhushan!

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar turns 93 today. The veteran star has been receiving innumerable wishes from his near and dear ones since last night.

But, it seems he won't be celebrating his big day today to pay respect to those affected by Chennai floods.

As per reports, Saira Banu, has been quoted by a leading daily, "We are deeply saddened by the tragedy. We decided not to celebrate Sahab's birthday at an inopportune time like this. My husband and I had lived in Chennai for a few years after our marriage and the city holds a special place in our hearts. We are also in touch with Suchindra Bali, son of Vyjayanthimala Bali, whose family is based there. Thankfully, the area where they stay hasn't been hit so badly." [sic]

Though the actor won't be having a big bash to mark this day but his close friends and family will be around him to spend some time with him.

Also, what makes this birthday more auspicious is that the actor will be honored with Padma Vibhushan (the country's second-highest civilian award) at home on December 13.

Saira added, "We got a call from Raj Bhavan and were informed that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will honour Dilip Sahab at home two days after his birthday. This makes it special." [sic]

We wish the megastar a very happy birthday and may God bless him with abundant happiness in the coming years.
