Media upsets Preity Zinta!

Preity Zinta has been the latest celeb to fall in the trap of getting misquoted. The news posted by a leading daily has quoted her as: "Kings XI Punjab players fixed IPL matches, Preity Zinta told BCCI". The actress is in complete shock with this.

A leading daily apparently posted a news article about the actress saying that she had met the BCCI officials in the advent of August and told them she had witnessed activities from close quarters and wanted to speak earlier about it but couldn't do so as she had no proof.

However, what Preity had actually said was, "Suggested RANDOM POLYGRAPH (LIE DETECTOR) Tests to BCCI for players so no can even think about match fixing. The theory was that Prevention is better than cure."

The actress is deeply upset with this and took to her social networking sites to clear the air. She was seen posting: "Shocked by this inaccurate & extremely irresponsible & malicious piece. Stop spreading rubbish without verification. The theory being that "Prevention is better than cure." A constructive conversation to genuinely make a difference to the game is turned into a destructive article for sensational purpose."

She further added, "I am very proud to be part of KXIPWe have the best team & support staff & under No circumstance will I tolerate slander towards me or my team, specially when it comes to our Integrity. I will sincerely appreciate it, if responsible media do not try to damage our reputation & business by fueling this false article."
