After the Censor Board rejected a song from the upcoming film 'Calendar Girls' for television viewing, Madhur Bhandarkar is apparently unhappy over further censorship!
According to the reports the Board has asked Madhur to delete 10 cuss words from the film to secure a U/A certificate, but Madhur is set to approach the revising committee today. As the review procedure is lengthy, 'Calendar Girls' may not make it to the theatres on August 7!
Madhur had kept a screening for Board members last Wednesday and they have asked him to delete a few, if he wishes to secure a U/A certificate. However, they didn't ask for any visual cuts.
An insider says that he is ready to mute some words because deleting them altogether will water down the impact of a given scene. For now, the Board has said that the film will be awarded an 'A' certificate should he insist of retaining all the cuss words!
