In fact in the last couple of years we have witnessed an up spring in quirky films, which are high on situation and embedded comedy. The humour in these films has been welcomed by the audience with much glee and the box office of these films is positively growing.

The genre has steadily been growing. Films like Bheja Fry, Jolly LLB, Filmistan, Tere Bin Laden, Oh! My God, Mere Dad Ki Maruti, Phas Gaye Obama, Hunterrr, Fukrey have been welcomed and celebrated by audiences at large.

While these films are made on moderate budgets they run in theatres for weeks. These films grows with word of mouth week after week.

Another film in the same genre is Bangistan which is a fun film about two blunder terrorist who are on a mission to change the world.
