Paresh Rawal is an Indian legend. He is one of the biggest and the most successful actors in the film industry. As the actor turns 65 this year lets go on a trip down the memory lane, re-visiting some of his greatest successes and his most loved roles.

Paresh rawal was born in the year 1950. At the age of 13, Rawal had made up his mind that he wanted to pursue his career in acting. He spoke to his school authorities that he wanted to become an actor and the school principal gave him his full support.

Rawal made his Bollywood debut with the film 'Hifazat'. In his first movie itself he proved his worth to many Bollywood filmmakers. His role in the film 'Arjun' was greatly appreciated. His role 'Rana' in Mahesh Bhatt's 'Naam' is considered in the list of top Bollywood villains.

At the start of his career Paresh Rawal was seen playing mostly negative and neutral roles. But then came a film that changed everyone's perception about him. 'Hera Pheri'! Rawal played the role of 'Baburao Ganpatrao Apte' and created one of the most iconic movie characters of all time. His comic timing was the best in class.

He has played double roles in films and these scenes are even more hilarious! 'Andaz Apna Apna' was one such film where he played a double role, one negative and one positive.

Rawal became a noted stage actor as well and it was the theatre, where he polished his acting skills. He decided that he will now make his name in the film industry. Then came a film that made him a superstar. This film was the biography of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel called 'Sardar'. His performance was so good that he won international honours for the same.

He has played challenging roles that include bad guys, Comedians and the most challenging role was of an eunuch in the 1996 film 'Tamanna'.There was a time where Paresh Rawal was seen in comic films with major Bollywood actors. Some of his most popular comic films are 'Golmaal:fFun unlimited','Chup Chup Ke' and 'Maalamaal Weekly'.

Then Paresh Rawal was seen as the lead in the 2012 film 'Oh! My God'. In this film Rawal was seen in his comic avatar, but the role transformed into an intense performance and the movie delivered an important message.

In his entire career he has won 8 major Bollywood awards for his performances. In the year 1994 Paresh Rawal won the 'National Award For Best supporting Actor.' In the year 2014 He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for his contribution to the entertainment industry.

Paresh Rawal is one of the finest actors that Bollywood has ever seen and we wish to see this legendary actor perform more iconic roles for many years to come.
