Farhan Akhtar's followers on Twitter cross 5-mn mark

Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar's fan following has crossed the five-million-mark on micro-blogging site Twitter.

"5 million today. Big hug to all and a warm welcome to those who recently be-friended my account. #twitterpetohbantahai," the 41-year-old tweeted on Sunday.

Farhan, who joined Twitter in December 2009, has been using the platform to connect with his fans and share his views on varied subjects.
