"I cannot get carried away and take the audience for granted"

The ace director Rohit Shetty who has made a mark in the Bollywood industry with his super action packed entertaining movies, has received an overwhelming response for his recent released movie Chennai Express and the success story of the movie is yet on.

On the same we got in touch with the director to know about his feelings on being known in the 100 Crore director's category, about his upcoming movie Singham 2, his other projects and much more with us.

Here is Rohit Shetty unplugged

Sharing about the success of his movie Chennai Express, an elated Rohit Shetty says, "Nobody knew that this would happen (smiles) that the movie will just go on and make huge records. All I can do is thank the audience for their love towards the movie and sharing a part in making the movie a huge success."

When we asked him on how does he feel to get listed in the 100 Crore director's category? Giving a very intelligent answer on the same, he says, "I feel that one shouldn't live with the fact that the name has been listed in the 100 Crore director's category, it's a new test for every director with every coming Friday. So I am always remembered with my last Friday movie, hence I have to work even harder for my upcoming movie to make it a huge success.  I cannot get carried away and take the audience for granted. All I can do is work harder for my next movie."

After setting a benchmark in the industry for the Action sequences through his movie Singham which released 2 years back and which was a record breaking movie of the year again, Rohit Shetty is all set to come up with the sequel of the movie named Singham 2. Talking about the same he says, "Yes, Singham 2 movie is still on the scripting stage as in yet. It is a very big brand and one of the most lovable movies for me. As I said before that I do not like taking the audience for granted, so I am working really hard on every minute details of the movie to make it a truly entertaining movie. After the movie Singham, I have seen a lot of versions of the movie Singham showcasing the repeated stunts to fly the cars, the action sequence done in that movie and much more. So yet again we want to come up with something extraordinary which will set its benchmark."

There has been news floating around the corner, that Kareena Kapoor has been locked to play the female lead in the movie Singham 2. When we asked about the same to Rohit Shetty, he rubbishes the rumors about the casting news that have been floating around, as he has not locked up any cast for the movie yet, "We have not locked up any cast as in yet for Singham 2, we are still on the scripting stage. One more month to go and we will finalize the cast. By far whatever names have been spoken in the media on the cast of the movie is false, as nothing has been finalized as in yet from our end."

Talking about his upcoming projects, Rohit shares, "Yes, we have taken the rights of one more Tamil movie which is on the scripting stage as in yet. Also the hit movie of late 80's Angoor and one more film will be made on Sanjay Dutt, but all are in process. Currently all the focus is on Singham 2."

The great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar will be seen playing the 200th test match from 14th November at his home ground in Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai). Rohit is honored to share few lines about the eminent cricketer, "The way he has set the records and the success that he has gained with his dedication is commendable. His hard work has made the entire nation proud. It is a learning lesson for each and every person. Each athlete, a celebrity, or any person should learn from Sachin Tendulkar and A.R.Rehman that even after becoming successful they are the most grounded people and trying their level best to make the nation proud."

Well, truly said Mr. Rohit Shetty! Sachin Tendulkar and A.R.Rehman are one of the most valued personalities of our country.
