The Rs.13.3 billion Hogenekkal Water Supply and Flurosis Mitigation Project, funded by the Japan Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC), is expected to benefit about three million people in Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts of Tamil Nadu.

There is no truth in what Karnataka says. Its share of waters will not be affected. Some cheap politicians of Karnataka politicise and fuel the matter for their advantage.Tamilnadu has a rightful ownership over the Hogenakkal waters.Nobody can deny that.We are claiming and asserting our right.
I express my solidarity with the Tamil film fraternity, ten crores of Tamil people aroud the world and the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Dr.Kalaignar M.Karunanidhi in condemning the atrocities committed against the Tamils in Karnataka and in claiming our rights.I request the Central government to interfere in this matter and give a proper counselling to the politicians of Karnataka. Also, please nationalise the Rivers of India.
