I'm a huge fan of Sridevi: Designer Swapnil

Ace designer Swapnil Shinde, who showcased his collection here Sunday at the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer Resort 2013, said he is a huge fan of Sridevi.

"Sridevi Kapoor has always inspired me to make changes in some part of my show or the other. Sridevi in Mr India is almost as good as Alice in her own wonderland," he told the media after the show.

He said Sridevi's role in "Mr. India" was perfect.

Talking about the theme of the show, the designer said: "This is my version of Alice in Wonderland. I have been visiting Goa since the last three months. I have seen girls there who are well dressed but tend to lose their outer shell when they are there. I decided to base my line on them," he said.

Shinde added: "My line has so many colours for the first time. I decided to work on something psychedelic, vibrant and trance like this."

The line included pelmet skirts, jazz multi-coloured textured dresses, smart shorts in bright and bold colours like green, blue, pink.
