Mehboob Khan's son passes away

Mumbai, March 15 (IANS) Ayub Memboob Khan, son of legendary filmmaker Mehboob Khan, died Friday at his residence here, family members said Saturday.

Khan died in his Bandra house in north-west Mumbai.

Though his father had made a few path-breaking movies like 'Mother India' and 'Aurat', Khan had no interest in movies and preferred to keep himself away from the film industry.

Ayub Khan was a trustee of the Mehboob Studio at Bandra, founded by Mehboob Khan in late 1940s. It was managed by a family trust.
