Rapper Taboo to perform at F1 after-parties

New Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS) The multi-talented rapper Taboo, member of American hip-hop band Black Eyed Peas, is all set for his maiden performances in India and says that he is really looking forward to soak up the spirit and charm of the country.

The second edition of Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix is scheduled Oct 26-28 in Greater Noida and the international pop-star will perform at the F1 after-parties, organised by Amber Lounge at Claridges, Surajkund, Faridabad.

"Amber Lounge is an amazing, unique over-the-top event, and I love to be involved in over the top things - especially in such a fascinating country as India," Taboo said in a statement.

He will perform Oct 27 and Oct 28.

"I'm very much looking forward to performing in India for the first time and to give something back to my fans here. I'm really excited to be part of the number one Grand Prix after-party in Delhi. I like to soak up all the spirit and charm that the country has to offer, and learn about it and its people. I just like to have an incredible experience," Taboo said.

The musician is the founding member of the six-time Grammy Award winning band The Black eyed Peas, on top of being an accomplished dancer, actor, author, philanthropist and DJ.

"A performer of Taboo's calibre makes the occasion of Formula 1 in India even more special. The verve of his music matches the spirit of the Formula 1 races and we look forward to an inspired performance from him at Amber Lounge Delhi," says Sonia Irvine, owner and founder of Amber Lounge.
