B-town salutes Kargil martyrs

On Kargil Diwas Thursday, a few Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter to salute the Indian soldiers who fought for victory over Pakistan in Kargil 13 years back.

Here's what they wrote:

Abhishek Bachchan: Today is Kargil Diwas. I had the honour of getting the opportunity to play the role of the great Capt. Vikram Batra in my film "L.O.C". A silent prayer for all that fought and lost lives... We must never forget their sacrifice.

Mohanlal: Salute to all our heroes on Kargil Vijay Diwas... Jai Hind.

Smriti Irani: Kargil ke shaheedon ko shat shat naman (Hundred salutes to the Kargil martyrs).

Vishal Malhotra: Kargil Diwas today. I'm a very proud Indian. Thank you jawans. We owe you.

Rannvijay Singh: Today is Kargil Diwas. Spare a moment and pray for those brave soldiers who fought and died. They died for us.
