Mona Kapoor passes away, B-town mourns

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor remembers Mona Kapoor as a kind and gentle human being and says she was too young to die. Veteran actor Anumpam Kher describes her as a "very helpful and kind lady" and Karan Johar says she "felt only positivity for one and all".

Mona Kapoor, ex-wife of Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor, passed away Sunday after battling multiple organ cancer for five months. She was 48.

B-town celebrities are in shock and took to Twitter to express their grief and sorrow.

Shekhar Kapur: RIP Mona Kapoor. Friend, mother compassionate human being. A well-wisher to all. Gone too young. Will always remember Mona Kapoor for her kindness and gentleness. Known her since she first met Boney Kapoor.

Akshay Kumar: Extremely saddened to hear about the demise of Mona Kapoor, a very affectionate, supportive and positive human being. May God bless her soul and give strength to her family. RIP.
