malaika arora khan hopes budget will improve living conditions

Actress Malaika Arora Khan has high expectations from the budget to be presented in parliament Friday and hopes it will improve living conditions.

"The budget should favour everybody. As tax payers we should feel that we get our money's worth. If we are paying such high taxes, we want our money's worth," the 38-year-old said here at the Smart Mart charity event.

"I just hope for better living conditions. Whether it is better roads, better sanitation or better facilities. As a tax payer I look for this. I don't want to be stuck in traffic for four-five hours everyday of my life. I want to be able to go to work comfortably without that headache of bad roads. Most importantly, corruption, inflation all of that needs to be taken care of," she added.

Malaika's family is known to be a part of a lot of charitable works, but she doesn't like to talk about it.

"If you associate yourself with a cause and talk about it, in my opinion it is very tacky. If you are associated with any kind of charitable work or any kind of charity in life, it is a personal thing. You are not supposed to be standing on the rooftop and screaming, 'I do charity'. That in my opinion is very bad upbringing," she said.

As far films are concerned, Malaika is seen in item number "Anarkali disco chali" from forthcoming movie "Housefull 2".

Her husband Arbaaz Khan's first directorial debut "Dabangg 2" has also gone on the floors.
