Ranbir, Vidya best actors at 57th Filmfare awards

Vidya Balan, who painted "The Dirty Picture" in Bollywood last year, and "Rockstar" Ranbir Kapoor picked the best actor trophies at the annual Filmfare awards ceremony here, while "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" bagged the best film honour.

It was a double whammy for Zoya Akhtar and Ranbir, as the former took home the best director award for "Zindagi...", while the latter was named the best actor in the critics' choice as well.

Priyanka Chopra won the best actress (critics' choice) for her portrayal of a woman who kills her seven husbands in "7 Khoon Maaf".

Farhan Akhtar picked the best dialogue award for his snazzy writing for "Zindagi..."

The 57th Filmfare awards ceremony was held in Film City here Sunday night.

Celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Madhuri Dixit, Sameera Reddy, Shreya Ghoshal, Onir, Farhan, Zoya, Deepika Padukone, Madhur Bhandarkar, Abhishek Bachchan, Rekha, Raveena Tandon, Anurag Kashyap, Subhash Ghai, Dia Mirza, Aditi Rao Hydari,Sarah Jane Dias and Gauri Khan walked the red carpet.

    very sad SRK you did not won award this year.you are the master of acting and you are the best and this is a universal truth..Ranbeer kapoor won award because he did a fantastic job in rockstar...so as@SONISAIM said plz enjoy the victory of srk but dont bash shahrukh khan.

    considering last year bollywood didnt had much film to credit for...well of lot rockstar's ranbir kapoor performance deserved the black lady but i dnt there there was much competetion...it was something clear cut...and cheers to pc...she was awesome in 7 khoon maaf

    SRK does not need a 'special' category to receive an award. His mere presence in Bollywood is a gift to all film-makers and a pleasure for us audiences.

    Best actor and actress awards went to worthy winners. Thank god this year the organisers did not introduced a category so that SRK get it. SRK fans don't get upset but think and face the truth that organisers have introduced a category just to give it to SRK. Why, because prev. Filmfare awards were held at Yash Raj Studios. Each year they introduced one category which has not been repeated following year but another one introduced

    it was fab movie n she done a fantastic job...ager movie hit nhi hoti hai to iska matlap ye nhi ki performence acchi nhi hai...



    vidya is also good but pc deserves the best actress award...


    ranbir is best ...love him
