Katrina as 'Chikni chameli' in 'Agneepath'

New Delhi, Nov 15 After becoming a rage with item number 'Sheila ki jawaani', Katrina Kaif is set to gyrate to 'Chikni chameli' in Karan Johar's remake of his father's 1990 critically acclaimed 'Agneepath'.

'Katrina Kaif is doing a full on item song in AGNEEPATH...its a total swinging number called CHIKNI CHAMELI...we shoot it in a week,' Karan posted on his Twitter page Tuesday.

The British-born actress danced to 'Sheila ki jawaani' in Farah Khan's 'Tees Maar Khan'. But she was also the lead actress of the film. In 'Agneepath', Katrina will just be seen in the song 'Chikni chameli'.

The original Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 'Agneepath' featured Archana Puran Singh in item number 'Alibaba'.

The new 'Agneepath(2012)' is being directed by debutant Karan Malhotra. Releasing Jan 26 next year, it will see Sanjay Dutt in the villain's role.

I AGREE, APPARENTLY KAT IS THE HOTTEST ITEM GIRL IN BOLLYWOOD BUT I HOPE KAT WOULD DO MORE FILMS THAN ITEM NUMBERS. KAT'S GOT THE LOOK, THE TALENT AND OFFERS. LOOK FORWARD FOR MORE FILMS OF KATS.

I don't like how actresses are doing item songs now, cause then what do item dancer do, if the actresses are doing their jobs? I mean I guess it's ok, if they;re in the movie and then are dancing to a song in the movie, but not acting in the movie, and just dancing? They're taking the item dancers jobs. Nothing against Kat, infact I actually like her lol.

Ummm ok. I like Kat but is there a shortage of actresses in Bollywood? It would be nice to see a fresh face doing an item song. Mallika has done like 3-4 and Kat has already done 2.

Oh lord another remake and on top of that Katrina kaif back with her ridiculous item number. No thanks I will rather waste my time on something else. Come on where have all the script writers gone? Can nobody come up with original stories? Let the movies and songs that were hit in their times remain hit and please can somebody just sit and write an original story.2011-11-15 12:46:56

"chikni chameli" like really? shall we gift a good hindi dictionary to these song writers? What is happening to our bollywood songs? This is the crap they come up with. Now a days, there are like two songs in a album and 3-4 remix versions of the same song!! how many times can we listen to the same songs with different beats. They are also butchering the song by over-hammering it with remixing a already remixed song! How many times are you going to remix the darn thing??? I really miss the days when we actually had 5-8 songs that we looked forward to listening over and over...and didn't make our head explode or ears hurt with all the loud base!
