New Delhi, Nov 13 Working in Bollywood is a demanding job, says Hema Malini adding that this is the reason why she was not very keen on her daughter Esha Deol joining filmdom as an actress.

'It is difficult to survive in the industry. You have to go through so much in this career. You have to be successful, but if your movies don't work you are sad and then there comes a burden to do much better. You have to keep working harder and harder, emotionally it disturbs a lot,' said Hema.

'In other professions, it is not noticeable. Here you are immediately in the eyes of people that's why I was not very keen. I wanted her to do something else, something like interior designing, or be a dancer, but she wanted to act and everyone should be given an opportunity. She is indeed a very fine actress,' she added.

Hema re-launched Esha with her directorial venture 'Tell Me O Kkhuda' but the film could not put a lasting impression on the audiences.

Esha herself should have known better. Just because you are born into a film family does not mean you have to join it. All the Bollywood kids want to take the easy way out and let their parents get them films. Abhishek, Soha, anyone? Besides, Esha is an educated girl from Oxford, why didn't she pursue that?

hemaji should of realized that a long ago instead of making tell me o khuda.normally it's late to start another career in any field at esha's age like the time and the hard work you will have to put in but she has her parent's name which will work like a charm for her to atleast get notice.2011-11-14 16:29:47

Esha did a lovely job in "Main Aisa Hi Hoon" where she played this character that was permanently stoned. Trouble is she acts the same way in all her movies.2011-11-14 14:16:33

that is cause she can't act and isn't really making a name. She is known only because of her mother and has her mom's face. Well good for her...it doesn't help just trying to lie to yourself...maybe she was meant to do something better and bigger in something else

Even when Esha is trying to smile she looks hard faced, it's her eyes...
If only Esha were to specialise in playing the Vamp roles [with her cold eyes & hard looks, no acting skills would be required], she could very easily carve a NUMBER 1 niche for herself in Bollywood and equal or do even better then Lalita Pawa!.
