Money doesn't excite Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan says that for him the most attractive part in a movie offer is the script and not the money.

'Money has never been a driving force for me. My aami (mother) always says that you can earn four times of what you earn today. But, again money is not what excites me. I get excited by the core of the project, the plot should excite me, then nothing else matters. Whether it is big money game or a small project,' said Aamir.

The 46-year-old doesn't believe in doing too many films, therefore, when he signs a film it becomes a moment of celebration for his family.

'When I sign a film, it becomes more of a celebration in my family. They all tease me for doing a film in a year that is why they pull my leg. When I tell them, they always tease by saying 'oh! So at last you have signed a film',' he said.

In last few years the actor proved his eye for scripts by doing films like 'Rang De Basanti', 'Tare Zameen Par', '3 Idiots' and 'Dhobi Ghat'.

His next are Reema Kagti's untitled project and Yash Raj Films' 'Dhoom 3'.

  @yeshaa:- u have misunderstood him. he never said that money is not important to him, what he meant was that money is not the criteria by which he chooses a to do a movie, for him script of the movie comes before money and he is right, if u look at his movies u wud know that he definitely gives a lot of importance to a rock solid script.

  i love aamir & all but this is just a lie. actors ALWAYS consider money/profit when they do a movie. if money doesn't excite him then why doesn't he just give it all away to charity to those in need?

  It's so funny they always interview people that are already rich and famous this question but why can't they ask people like Ranvir Singh, Anushka sharma, or anyone that's not a star already? Anywho I LOVE AAMIR not cause of the movies he does but this guy loves his work and when someone loves there work you know they will do JUSTICE to it no matter what..I'm not saying other actors don't love there work but I always loved him since the first time I saw his movies...his movies even in the 90s were always different roles and characters..lik QSQT, DIL, HHRPK, RH and many others..Aamir keep making good movies ;)
