Aamir may join Twitter at Big B's behest (Film Snippets)

New Delhi, June 12 (IANS) Bollywood star Aamir Khan is considering joining micro-blogging site Twitter after megastar Amitabh Bachchan tried to persuade him to do so.

'Met Jayaji and Amitji...for dinner in London. He was suggesting that I join Twitter. In fact, he sent a Tweet while we were sitting together and showed me how it works. You how what a phobia I have of gadgets and technology. But I must say he was most patient with me and most persuasive. I guess when I get back I will look at it,' Aamir posted on his blog.

The actor says he had great fun interacting with Big B at the dinner.

'The food was most amazing but more than that the conversation. He was joking that we live in the same city but need to come to London to have a meal together! Such wonderful minds both Jayaji and Amitji are,' he added.

Now 'FakeBinLaden' on Twitter

Many Bollywood actors whine about fake identities on social networking sites, but here is an ID created by director Abhishek Sharma - 'FakeBinLaden' that takes pride in being fake.

The ID has especially been created to promote Sharma's directorial venture 'Tere Bin Laden', a satire on the world's most wanted terrorist Osama Bin Laden.

'This is just an internet campaign whereby we are imposing from the very beginning that the film is not a biography on Osama. It is about a fake Osama. We are pushing the 'fake Osama Bin Laden' factor of the movie in every possible way to be true to the audience,' Sharma told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

Just like others on Twitter, 'FakeBinLaden' too wil provide regular updates and opinions. The page has a coloured caricature of Osama.

'Tere Bin Laden', releasing July 16, is a comedy about an ambitious young reporter from Pakistan played by Ali Zafar, who is desperate to migrate to the US in pursuit of the American dream. But his repeated attempts to immigrate are shot down until he meets an Osama Bin Laden look alike - and chaos ensues.

Katrina misses Mumbai rains!

Actress Katrina Kaif has been basking in the success of Prakash Jha's 'Raajneeti' while in Spain, but she is terribly missing the first rains in Mumbai.

'Katrina loves the rains and loves the smell of the wet mud just after the first rains. She was really upset when she found out she missed it,' said a source close to the actress.

Mumbai recently received its first rain that brought relief to the otherwise humid city. But Katrina has been in Spain shooting for Zoya Akhtar's next.
