Karan Johar keen to work with Aishwarya Rai?

If grapevine is to be believed, Karan Johar is toying with the idea of finally working with Aishwarya Rai, with whom he hasn't made a single project in his over decade-long career.

'Karan said that Aishwarya is his ideal heroine and all the scripts that he writes are keeping her in mind. He also said that various reasons have veered them from working together. But he is hoping that it is the right time that he gets her to work in his production sometime soon,' a source, who overheard Karan's conversation with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, told IANS on condition of anonymity.

The two filmmakers were discussing Aishwarya at Sonali Bendre's birthday party Dec 31.

'Sanjay Leela Bhansali was overheard telling Karan Johar that Aishwarya is very original and there is no one like her. He further said that if a director has not worked with her in his or her career, it's a big loss for them. Sanjay also praised her work in 'Guzaarish',' the source said.

Aishwarya has worked with Bhansali in 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and 'Devdas' - both of which did well at the box office. Now she is being directed by him in 'Guzaarish', which also features Hrithik Roshan.

Sounds a tad untrue
i do not know how many of you have watched the BBC interview of Karan/SRK and Kajol by Raj and Pablo wherein KJo clearly stated that all his scripts were written with kajol and SRK in mind. seems a little silly then to do a turnabout and say that all his scripts are written with Aishwarya in mind.

Totally not in line with the topic, Aishwarya is a global ambassador and good for promotion of bollywood on an international level; however, as an actress - she is average and has only delivered a handful of hits. Some say SRK only works with certain directors, the same can be said with Aishwarya, albeit not to the extent of SRK.

it is so rediculous to read comment about age !!! what has age to do with acting ??? older male actors are fine but female actors are done after may be 30 ??? as ash is just 35 and people are writing her off ( though just in forum!!!) as she is doing great everywhere else ... it will be great to see her with shahrukh as karan will defi . have shahrukh in his film for sure ...2010-01-14 21:44:04

cmon people get over this age factor...kajol is doing fine and aish should do fine too.atleast she is doing better then rani.its us who creates age factors.if we audience r ok,y wud directors or producers mind..if men can work in 40-50 y cant women...u r in a different generation...atleast karan also knows who she will luk best with..he wont pair her with ranbir or neil kinda youngguns..hehehe
