Shiney Ahuja gets bail in rape case

Mumbai, Oct 1 (IANS) Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, who has been in judicial custody for three months after being charged with raping his domestic help, got bail Thursday on surety of Rs.50,000.

'There is no clear evidence that Shiney had raped his maid,' said his lawyer Shirish Gupte.

Shiney was arrested on June 15 for allegedly raping his maid at his residence in suburban Oshiwara.

The court has ordered the actor to deposit his passport with the officer investigating the case.

I hope Shiney gets what he deserves. The medical and physical tests of the maid and also the samples found on her clothes were all positive.

SHINEY ALSO ADMITTED HAVING SEX WITH THE MAID. His wife has no self respect, as she is still with him.

Shiney used to be my favourite actor. But NOT ANYMORE. I hope he rots in jail and the maid gets justice

and what more evidence does the court want? Just shows that if you have money you can get away with anything in india

@ adaa I am just simply hoping about it as have no respect for that guy ..but it's not in anyone's hand for sure . if the directors line up for him then it's their problem... hope the maid gets some justice as she has no reason to lie as if she wanted she could have blackmailed him

Just for Information
The upper cap for bail in a rape case is Rs 50000 as per IPC. So the judge has lavied the maximum amount. These things change very slowly.

The Indian penal system is a JOKE.
Bail of 50,000 RS only, and that too from A bollywood actor, and that too for a heinous crime like rape. What a SHAME.
They ask for more bail than this from people who really have no means to pay.
