Irrfan Khan WON'T be getting BACK to Bollywood Anytime Soon

Irrfan Khan who was reported to have returned to India after receiving treatment for neuroendocrine tumour last week is currently recuperating from his illness. Post his return, there were strong rumors making rounds that the actor is back in India to commence shooting for the next installment of his 2017 hit film Hindi Medium.

However, as per reports in Bollywoodhungama, all the stories revolving around Irrfan resuming work are baseless and false and that the actor is not going to be a part of the movie.

A close friend of Irrfan Khan told the portal, "Irrfan is recuperating slowly. He won't be returning to acting for a while now. The process of healing is slow and exhausting. Even after full recovery, he won't be allowed to get back to work for at least a year. So there is no question of doing Hindi Medium 2 or any other film in the immediate future."

The report further stated that the Hindi Medium director Saket Chowdhary too has backed out from the project and has no plans of helming the sequel.
