Why Bollywood Celebs didn't speak on #MeToo; Sonam Kapoor reveals

The wave of MeToo is still on and after engulfing many in it's outraged fire, there are Btown celebs who still aren't gathering courage to come forward with their stories. Earlier too Sonam Kapoor was the one who spoke about sexual harassment at the workplace and condemned all the harassment stories.

She even encouraged women to come forward with their stories and reveal the names of those who were predators. Recently, in an interview she spoke at length about it and also revealed why many from the Bollywood fraternity chose to stay mum about it. 

She disclosed that one of her close friends went through sexual harassment and didn't speak about it because she had many siblings to take care of. Another friend of hers didn't want to be labelled as a victim and chose not to reveal anything. 

And about the Btown celebs, she said that most of them chose not to voice anything even though they had faced all kinds of harassment. you know why? Well, as per Sonam Kapoor, and us too, there is lot of shaming and victim blaming in India. Which often leads to women not coming up with their side of the story and choosing to keep mum.
