Hate Story 3 - Movie Review

Two millionaire brothers, one tired of being over shadowed by the goodness of the other, greed for property, their unconditional love for one gorgeous girl, betrayal by that same girl; this is what Hate Story 3 is all about. Well, isn't this sounding familiar? Obviously it is, Bollywood has a long list of movies with similar story line.

Even the story has been over watched, the first part of the movie is very interesting and keeps the audience intrigued. With the start of the second part the cards unfold and that's where you get a clear view. But, just as you start predicting the climax it takes a U-turn and you witness a complete different and justified twist.

About the characters:

Zarine Khan and Daisy Shah:

The two 'hot' ladies as they call themselves to be are just used as a sex tool. Both the beauties except for looking good and hot in few scenes have nothing else to offer. Their acting looks completely fake and fails to bring out any type of emotion. Even in the love making scenes, they have failed to create the magic.

Sharman Joshi as Aditya Deewan:

After giving some amazing movies like 3 Idiots, Ferrari ki sawari, Golmaal, etc. it becomes obvious to expect some good performance from an actor like Sharman Joshi. But, the man has failed immensely to connect with the audience. Neither could he pull off the romantic parts nor the revenge sequences. At some point you even feel irritated of his character as he slips on to the over acting mode. Even the strides of a multi millionaire man cannot be seen at all in his character.

Karan Singh Grover as Saurav Singhania:

Karan Singh Grover has nailed it. Be it his classy millionaire attitude, sensual seductive behaviour or simply his dialogue delivery; he has carried off everything very well. He has been successful in transforming himself from a Casanova to a hard hitting Hero. Even the cunningness and lust required of his character has been depicted very well. At no point does one feel that he moves out of his character. He has been the only one amongst his lot to impress the audience.

What we liked:

There are innumerable twists and turns that keep one intrigued in the movie. Karan's acting is worth appreciating as compared to the other cast. In other words he has been successful in taking home the trophy.

What we didn't like:

When we talk about Hate Story the first thing that comes to mind is intense revenge. But, here all we see is a revised version of Abbas- Mustan's 'Race'. A similar story except for the ending and even revenge hasn't been that strong to send shiver down your spine.

Forget the emotions even sensuality has not been portrayed well by either of the actresses or by Sharman.

There has been no connection of the songs with the movie. They are a complete waste and have been forcibly inserted. Except for 'Tu issak mera' that's worth a watch mainly for the sizzling chemistry between Karan and Daisy and the next is 'Wajah Tum Ho' for Karan and Zarine's scorching romance.

A better and crisp story could have been formed rather than stretching it unnecessarily.

All in all if you are a Karan Singh fan and you wish to watch a revised edition of Race; then Hate Story 3 is a perfect movie to entertain you this week end.
