Generous Bappi da gives away gold chains (TV Snippets)

New Delhi, Nov 20 (IANS) Music composer Bappi Lahiri showed his generous side when he gave away gold chains to the contestants of Zee TV's 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar'.

Abhilasha, Ranjeet, Kamal, Bisakh, Sugandha and Ali Sher were overjoyed after receiving the token of appreciation from the veteran musician.

'Bappi da was so impressed with the pool of talent that he could not stop himself from giving away gold chains to all the contestants,' said a source.

A thrilled Bisakh said: 'Bappi Da's compositions are a class apart. He simply loved my rendition on 'Pug Ghungroo...' and rewarded me with a gold chain. I'm going to cherish these moments all my life....'

Claudia Ciesla gets into action mode

German supermodel Claudia Ciesla, who grabbed eyeballs as a contestant on the third season of reality show 'Big Boss', will be seen in an action-packed role in Kannada film 'Private Number'.

'Audiences are familiar with the sweet natured me, but in this movie they will get to see the new side of Claudia where she is brave and bitter. You can say that I will be labelled as female Akshay Kumar after this,' Claudia said in a statement.

The 23-year-old also has an international project titled 'An American In India' in her kitty. In this film, she is playing an American journalist who comes to India to make a documentary on poverty and ends up staying back to work for the betterment of the poor.

Urvashi Dholakia returns with 'Apno Ke Liye Geeta...'

Actress Urvashi Dholakia is returning to the small screen with yet another negative role in Zee TV's upcoming show 'Apno Ke Liye Geeta Ka Dharma Yudha'.

She is known for playing negative characters like Komolika in 'Kasautii Zindagii Ki' and Karishma in 'Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai'.

'I already have a very strong image from the roles I've enacted in various shows. I am known for my vampish roles and so the challenge lies in giving the character a fresh look so that audiences stop relating to my previous roles and accept me in my latest avatar,' Urvashi said in a statement.

She will be seen playing Malini Yadav, a socialite, who has not achieved much in life but is very ambitious and will leave no stone unturned to bring about a change in her lifestyle.
