Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 6 (IANS) A large number of radio jockeys of Big 92.7 FM radio stations across India will attempt to set a record when they begin their non-stop talk marathon, starting at 9.27 a.m. Friday.

'We have 44 stations across the country and at the moment over 90 percent of the stations would hold this. Our first target is to achieve 92.7 hours (of continuous radio jockeying) and then depending on the well being of the RJs, the show will go on,' Priyesh Prathap, station head of Big 92.7 FM here, told IANS.

Big 92.7 FM's Kerala station is based in the state capital.

The radio jockey here, 'Kidilam' Firoz, 21, has held several practice sessions and besides that he is undergoing yoga and breathing exercises to keep fit.

'The RJs depending on their need will take an hour's break for food and and all that. The highlight would be that his fans here are expected to come with food to the studio. The central theme here is fight against drugs,' said Prathap.

The Limca Book of Records has an air-marathon record of 107 hours, while the Guinness record is 217 hours by a RJ in London.
