Imran's Animal Rescue

Imran Khan loves animals. Not only does he have two dogs (one of which is a Labrador that he adopted from an owner who didn't want it) and three cats, but the actor now wants to use the land he owns in Panvel to set up an animal shelter for stray animals.

Imran plans to have a vet on the staff there at all times, in order to take care of any animal that makes its way there. He is considering various options to finance the project, and is currently financing it on his own. He hopes to do a tie-up with a larger organization soon, so that he can open up more shelters wherever needed. Currently, he is approaching individuals and businesses to fund him, instead of looking at a single organization. 

The animal-lover says that his entire family harbors a deep love for animals - running all the way to uncle Aamir, even! And their rescue of countless defenseless creatures is what inspired him to take such a step.
